Luis on 2003/12/03:
„One flight down from that is the Genius bar, with more Apple and some third-party products lined up (mostly iPods and Digital video equipment, cameras and camcorders). In the middle, there is a railed terrace looking down on the first floor. And to the back, the bar.“

„The store is located in probably the most famous shopping distict of the world, and is there to stay. Apple has other functions that jsut teh store in the building, and sizewise the store itself seems to be twice as big as the Soho NYC retail store. The Japanese in general seem to be famous for being techno freaks, and I wish I could have been in Tokyo this weekend.“http://giaguara.diaryland.com/071.html - Cached
„I would have liked to start my first blog back from Bali off saying how nice Bali was, but instead I had two days of hell stranded in Jakarta, waiting to get back to Tokyo via the incompetent and impolite Garuda Airlines. I guess it serves me right for flying on the cheap.“http://lostintranslation.optica8.com/archives/ 2003_12.html - Cached
„After sleeping for 15 hours, I packed, had some lunch and then headed over to the Ginza Apple store in the continuing rain for one last look, and to experience the store as it might regularly be occupied. It was very busy, but not crowded, and it was easy to catch the elevator to tour each floor. There were lots of employees on-duty, and lots of one-on-one conversations between them and customers.“http://www.ifoapplestore.com/stores/ginza/ ginza_direct.html - Cached
„A story in the Rocky Mountain News focused on various retailers, and quoted retiree Richard Rodenburg saying he didn't know how to turn on a laptop computer until he asked an Apple employee for help during the 2002 holiday season. The article said, "Employees kept the store open well past closing time to answer all of his questions and outfit his laptop with the Internet- browsing software he wanted." His wife Marilyn Rodenburg added, "They treat gray hairs the same way they treat the hotshot 20-year-olds."“http://www.ifoapplestore.com/archive_2003.html - Cached
„Thanks to Linda for coming up with a source of the backpack-style shopping bags that Apple uses at the retail stores. The bags appear to be single-ply rather than two-ply, and don't look quite as elegant as Apple's version. Check this link , then click on "Trade Show Bags" in the middle of the page.“http://users.lmi.net/~gallen/burl.html - Cached

„Check out the queue (Quicktime video - over 30MB, starts playing after about 9MB downloaded) for the new Apple store in Ginza, Tokyo. (Link from Joi Ito. ) Apparently Apple were giving away a few thousand T-shirts but even so, that's quite a queue. It's the kind of thing that makes first time foreign visitors to Tokyo say "what recession?!"“http://www.pernillerudlin.com/blog/archives/ 2003_12.html#000023 - Cached

„I visited the Stonestown Galleria mall in the southern part of San Francisco, and adjacent to San Francisco State University, where the AppleInsider Web site says Apple may move into the space now occupied by Victoria's Secret (they've moving directly across the hallway to a space under construction). The VS space is 50 feet wide, larger than Apple's standardized 30 and 40-foot floorplans. Apple would reportedly take the entire space, expand the walls a bit, and use one of their standard floorplans in the larger space.“http://www.ifoapplestore.com/archive_2004.html - Cached
