[The 8th Sign] Now open up Tivo Desktop and pick some programs to transfer. You can also disable “Auto Converter” and just manually convert files using the “Convert Single File” button on the top. I did not write the Autodvrconvert.exe program, Heimiko from www.thegreenbutton.com orginally created it for use with MCE DVR-MS files. I mearly put two and two together, made a new XGR file and documented it.

DealDatabase Forum - Deals, Freebies, and TiVo & DirecTivo Hacking ...: In December I got a DVD-R drive and shortly afterwards Tivo to go, but due to hard drive issues and miscellaneous other issues I wasn't able to sucessfully use the DVD-R drive and had to resort to making VCD's of my shows thinking that I could burn the mpeg1's to DVD later when the drive and my computer were functioning. For the record my time frame was limited as the TiVo was filling up very quickly so I dumped my showes onto VCD.
The 8th Sign: tivo files coming in will automatically be converted. Using this, you can pick multiply shows in the Tivo desktop and they will be converted as soon as they are done transferring. I also believe that Galleon (JavaHMO for HME) will actually push shows to your desktop based on filters. So in theory, you can set up a filter for CSI in Galleon and as soon as its done recording on your Tivo, have it pushed to your desktop and converted to a MPEG file.
