„Not so bad, until we throw in audio/video. I haven't put much of my digital video on disk yet, but I expect the day will come when all of those Hi-8 and mini-DV tapes are going to get sucked in. I have no idea how much data that will be, probably a real boatload. Throw in a bunch of music and other stuff just because I'm a digital packrat, and we're up to what, a terabyte?“

Some slightly related:
„But digital archives excel in providing access to the ephemera, the gray material, the lost classicsmaterial which has been difficult for traditional libraries to locate, acquire, and store. To serve their mission of preservation and access, digital archives depend on volunteers, donations and, most especially, on the public domain. Whether information such as a film is under copyright or in the public domain largely dictates the scope and nature of public access provided by archives.“http://eon.law.harvard.edu/openlaw/eldredvashcroft/supct/.../ internet-archive.html - Cached
