iMovie: Too Cool For Words
[Archived in Camcorder Digital, Digital Video Camcorder, Entry]
Will Duquette on 2003/09/13:
„The book that came to my rescue is iMovie 3 and iDVD, by David Pogue; it's one of the generally excellent "Missing Manuals" series, and it's excellent. The book begins with three chapters on shooting digital video: what to look for in a camcorder; basic videography, including lighting and sound; and how to shoot specific kinds of things, including interviews, weddings, and so forth. How to use iMovie doesn't come in until the fourth chapter; and then the book ends with several chapters on how to use Apple's DVD authoring software, iDVD.“

„Finally, after great lengths, I confirm that Nixon’s team funded Watergate break-in, and I provide a chain of evidence to prove it. You run a rival newspaper and you verify all the evidence with your own eyes. Can you publish the story as well?“http://www.stargeek.com/item/57689.html - Cached
„I mean not boring anonymous blobs that represent man's inhumanity to Corey Feldman or something, but really cool stuff like Spider-man and Batman. Anyway what he is doing auctioning off his artist proof of Cthulhu. Then he is donating the proceeds to our miserable selves.“http://www.empusa.com/misc/archives/ 2002_09.html - Cached

„Lucas, just because you have cool computers that can make nifty effects doesn't mean you have to use them all the time. I have a can opener at home, but I don't run around the house like a madman immediately opening and then discarding every can in sight just because I have a can opener, which was designed to open cans, so I had better not let it sit idle! There are unopened cans!“http://dave.typepad.com/dave/2004/02/ finally.html - Cached

„Apple released iPhoto 2 and iMovie 3 for download today. So far, I’m extremely disappointed with iPhoto 2. I’ve only used it for a few minutes, but it looks like none of the improvements I was hoping for were included, and I think it’s actually slower on my iMac than iPhoto 1.0 was.“http://akosut.com/log/2003/01.html#000068 - Cached

„Assessing iLife ’04, David Pogue writes in the New York Times, “Each program in the updated suite (except iTunes) offers about a dozen enhancements. For example, the new iMovie offers video trimming with an ‘undo’ feature right in the storyboard strip. The iDVD program introduces 20 new professional-looking templates for your DVD menu screens, and can now fit two hours of amazing-looking video onto a disc.“http://www.stargeek.com/item/62703.html - Cached
