It also has a 780x digital zoom which significantly increases the range of video capture when complemented with the optical zoom. Saving battery power is essential for shooting, so during recording and playback, the PVL552 camcorder features a color viewfinder that can be used instead of the LCD. To compensate for unintentional hand and camcorder movement when recording, the dual Digital Electronic Image Stabilization (D-EIS) feature aids in reducing those jitters. You can also use it in playback mode to help reduce jitter in previously recorded video. Playback can be done through a VCR or quick review can be accomplished using the 4 inch LCD screen.
