[Learning Community Group's Research Network :: Main Page] With this high-quality, non-linear media system you get instant access to recorded contents without needing to fast forward or rewind as with tape, but it don’t come cheap. For those of us currently bitching about the prices of Memory Stick Duo cards, we can perhaps take small comfort in the fact that P2 media is looking at about $1700 (gulp) for a 4GB card, which will get you all of about 18 minutes of footage (squeezing 5 episodes of the Simpsons onto your PSP’s 256MB card ain’t lookin’ quite so bad anymore, is it?). The camera will weigh under 5 pounds, but will weigh about 6 grand on your pocketbook. And if you want it bundled with two 8GB P2 cards, you’ll be dropping a full 10 Clevelands (Grover, that is) on this baby."
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Engadget - www.engadget.com.] Panasonics AG-HVX200 camcorder with 24p >: the only thing that can do 100mbs is SDI. panasonic and sony are making these cameras for consumers/pro sumers. If you want a serious HD camera, you are going to have to pay the money for it. Also neither of these camera's have inter-changeable lenses, so most professionals wont even consider using them.

Digital Cameras - digitalcameras.engadget.com: Pat Fletcher, who has been blind for 25 years, is able to see again by translating visual images into soundscapes with the help of a tiny video camera and a software program called “The vOICe.” She stashes the camera in her shades and gets a “sound picture” generated from her visual landscape. It’s an approach not terribly dissimilar from the idea of using echolocation to translate spatial data into auditory feedback, but this method frees up your hands as you don’t have to carry any sort of cane device.

Andy's Blog: Television: From a video-editor's (that's what I do professionally) point of view, Apple seem to create the most excitement this year with Final Cut Pro HD. The other thing that I found of interest was Panasonic's DVCPro P2 card, like a digital still camera SD card but for broadcast video.
