Previously on AdJab: Trump, Desperate Housewives

[TV Squad] Wisteria Lane won't be seeing the Mary Kay pink cadillac anytime soon, because Christian groups protested the firm's plan to push it's products on the ABC series Desperate Housewives. Apparently, for Mary Kay, it's "God first...career third," so I don't see how they expected the Housewives gig to work, anyway.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Dajoro] Infotainment Friday [From Tom to Madonna]: This is not the first time the American Family Association and its Website, which bills itself as "America's Largest Pro-Family Action Site," has gone on the offensive against Desperate Housewives. Last year, Lowe's, Tyson Foods and Kellogg's were among the advertisers who reportedly pulled their ad dollars from Housewives after receiving emails, letters and phone calls from angry AFA members. [Autoblog.com] Mary Kays pink Cadillac incentive becoming less popular as ...: The pink Cadillac incentive was introduced in 1969 in the color “Mountain Laurel,” which matched lip and eye palettes in the MK line. Lately, however, MK sales successes are opting for a $33,600 cash payout instead of a gaudy land yacht, which Diana Gold, MK’s corporate communications manager, is calling a “lifestyle decision.” To get the Caddy for two years, a sales team must break $96,000 over a six-month period. MK is also giving away cars for smaller sales targets, for instance a lipstick red Pontiac Vibe for turning $18,000 in four months.
[Ladynovelist.blogspot.com] The Lady Novelist: Desperate Housewives is back!: Yeah, Desperate Housewives is back and living on my TV. I cannot tell you how excited I was to see a new episode last night. At first, I wasn't even sure that I would remember what happened before since it's been over a month since the last new episode.
[Msnbc.msn.com] ”Housewives isn't afraid to move forward - Desperate Housewives ...: What was up with the mysterious note proclaiming "I know what you did"? And it turned out that Mary Alice wasn't the only housewife on her idyllic suburban street, Wisteria Lane, who had secrets. Gorgeous ex-model Gabrielle, frustrated stay-at-home mom Lynette, lonely divorcee Susan, preppie perfectionist Bree, every single one of Mary Alice's poker pals would face major life-shaking woes as the season marched on.

[Accesshollywood.com] AccessHollywood - Station - Billy's Blog: I don't love reporting on celebrity break-ups and some of the more trivial aspects of entertainment...unless its so absurd that we're laughing together - so this opportunity to awaken some dormant brain muscles and learn, while tapping into somebodys core, is appreciated and I hope well received. To think our main competitor was presenting the wedding of Mary Kay Letourneau and Villi ??? as "entertainment" is absurd. That they paid big money for the rights even though they said they were "the only ones invited" is sickening to me and, trust me, I would never have reported on that.
