Stockstock - an introduction to videoblogging

[Archived in Entry]

[Make Your Own Video» incorporating the Ipswich Camcorder Club] As some of you may know, I recently paid my $20 to enter the StockStock film festival. The idea is that they select and send out about 40 minutes of strange, effectively random, stock footage from the internet archive, and all entrants have to make a movie of three minutes or less using just this footage.

Some related posts from Technorati and Google.

http://blog.juznuts.com  About a Nut: Stockstock is a film festival consisting of short films made entirely from stock footage. We select a limited amount of stock footage and give it to you””your job is to make it into some kind of short video presentation. (via Cosmos)

[Makevideo.org.uk] Make Your Own Video » Blog Archive » Stockstock Film Festival: My only disappointment is that they only seem able to supply the footage as an NTSC miniDV tape. Those of us who use other systems such as PAL or SECAM, or who don’t have access to a miniDV player might find themselves stuck.
