Thoughs about the coming “vlogeurope” meetup

[Archived in Entry]

[Make Your Own Video» incorporating the Ipswich Camcorder Club] I’m sure that once I have attended the coming Vlog Europe! meetup and conference my opinions and understanding will be very different from my current state of knowing very little. So I thought I’d have a stab at recording my thoughts before the event.

Some related posts from Technorati and Google.

http://www.nevon.net/nevon  NevOn: Vlog Europe is a get-together of video bloggers for a week of learning and networking about content, technology and business. Details on the Vlog Europe blog. (via Cosmos)

http://dltq.blogs.com [Dltq.blogs.com] DLTQ.vlog: Web/Tech: I had spent most of the last 30 hours working on my note, which basically laid out a simple plan for CMS use, the need for focus on internal communications, and more direct communication with the voters through weblogs and the like. They were in fact quite enthusiastic about it - and here I thought that they were all living in the stone age and even cell phones are dangerous...

[Newmediamusings.com] New Media Musings: Video/videoblogging Archives: I was also unaware that Akimbo has six videobloggers in its lineup: Steve Garfield, Clint Sharp and several others, in addition to Cartoon Network, other big media programs, and its real strength: niche video from hundreds of video creators. A lot of the sweet, simple UI tricks reminiscent of the TiVo are here as well.

Thestandard.comhttp://www.thestandard.com [Thestandard.com] The Industry Standard: Internet Events - Internet Business News: The second birthday celebration of the Millennium Stage on April 1, 1999 marked the Kennedy Center's arrival on the cutting edge of art and technology as performances appeared on the Internet for live hour-long broadcasts. So if you can't make it to the Kennedy Center but can make it to your computer, you can watch artists live on the Millennium Stage every day at 6 p.m.

[Blogumentary.typepad.com] Blogumentary: Videoblogging Archives: Scott Lunt, creator of "Le Garage," said he got into vlogging because "I'm not a really good writer, and I never felt super comfortable with it." With the digital camcorder and laptop computer he carries everywhere, however, he can film and fine-tune visual nuggets of northern-Midwest life to amuse his subscribers. "I just like the happy accidents of a bunch of raw footage that would be boring without a little editing and music."

[Unmediated.org] unmediated: events Archives: 21 and 22 for a conference on how journalism is being transformed by blogging, entitled "Blogging, Journalism and Credibility: Battleground and Common Ground." The invitation-only conference is being organized by the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at the Harvard Law School, the American Library Association's Office of Information Technology and the Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. However there will be a webcast so that people can participate remotely in the discussion.
