[I Am Chris Nolan] When Jason and his friends worked on the National Film Challenge last October it sounded like such fun. Now, Toronto is having it's very own 48 Hour Toronto Film Challenge!

[Blogway Baby] Is My Fur Lady the Long-lost Great Canadian Musical?: They decided to put it on again in May of the same year, planning sixteen performances; but demand for the show was such that they ran for six weeks! The company was then invited to play at the fringe of the Stratford Theatre Festival, where their expected run was again doubled because of My Fur Lady's huge popularity. The show then embarked on a tour throughout Eastern Canada, including performances at Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre, Her Majesty's Theatre in Montreal, and a special gala in Ottawa, attended by several of the government officials who were lampooned in the play!
[http://dangerouschunky.com/notebook] Seattle: New Spring Shows: I missed the opening of Platform Gallery’s exhibit of Toronto artist Stephen Andrews work. Andrews has had a curious road to Platform, having been previously curated by Candian film hero Atom Egoyan at CUE Art Foundation amongst other notable venues.
[PakG1's Realm] The world spins some more and you're still in the same place: For example, he worked security for Night of Nations, an annual dinner and show put on by the students. Using the walkie talkies was very cool, and an experience that Bobby never had again until his volunteer experience backstage this year at the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society's annual gala event. Bobby also got to meet many cool people, including his current posse of AIE hopefuls and ABA castaways. He had lots of fun as one of the members of the Technology Leadership team and helping to organize the Miss Infinity Conference for female students interested in science.

[Blogway Baby] REVIEW: The Song Is You! The Life and Lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II: "The Song Is You" is the brainchild of Milton Zysman, 68, a Toronto inventor, film producer, author of scholarly papers on catastrophism, manufacturer of mattress handles, and man about town. Visually handicapped since his early 30's, Milton came to the food bank cause by helping a friend, Bob Spencer, former Executive Director of The Ontario Association of Food Banks. Bob needed a plan to raise money for a food-processing kitchen. Milton helped organize a number of dinners, but soon became bored with this shop-worn technique.

[Themovieblog.com] Some Films Announced for Toronto Film Festival!: As always there are lots of films and lots of directors that I know nothing about and for me this is one of the great appeals of a festival like this. It's not only a chance to get a first look at new films from established talent but it provides a chance to find new talent from around the world that you'd never come across otherwise. This initial salvo includes a lot of impressive stuff, but it's only the tip of the iceberg for a festival that features well over three hundred films a year .
